Hi! My name's Michael, and I'm half-German and half-Cuban. I was born in Miami and grew up speaking English & Spanish. Then, I went to NYU Shanghai and spent 3 out of 4 years learning & practicing Mandarin. It's been 8 years since then that I've spent roughly half speaking German in Berlin, half speaking French in Paris. Only one of those two has actually been productive towards mastering a language--can you guess which?

Right now, I'm more interested in practicing Chinese! I have an exam coming up in a few days (21.06.2025) and I need my Chinese to be as it was eight years ago.
