Hi you!

My childhood dream was to be able to speak Spanish fluently and I'm still working on it :)

I've taken lessons and lived in Spain for a few years and need to keep the momentum up. After leaving my last job, I've lost my connection to native speakers and I'm hoping to find people here who to practice with.

I'd like to listen and speak because I think this is my biggest weakness but emailing is fine too.

As for my hobbies before COVID, I like outdoor sports like running, cycling, hiking and also really enjoy Crossfit. Since COVID, I went back to watching movies and reading a bit more. Yes, also in Spanish. Currently, I'm reading Isabel Allende's City of the Beasts and am really enjoying it.

In parallel, I'm also getting my head around Dutch out of necessity and started doing a few minutes a day of Chinese Mandaring (my other childhood dream).

I work in IT and love what technology has to offer to this world and follow innovations and developments across multiple areas. I also follow world politics - mainly because of how it impacts me directly. Having lived in a few countries so far, I can see differences in quality of life depending on the ruling party.
