Hi
My name is Julian and I live in the Liverpool area of the north of England. I am looking to do a language exchange specifically with a Palestinian wherever they live - The 48, West Bank, Gaza or abroad. I want to learn the Palestinian dialect of Arabic.
I studied Arabic many years ago at university and learnt Fusha and Egyptian dialect but today I would struggle to have even a basic conversation. So, if you're happy to help me become conversational in Arabic and are patient in nature it would be good to speak to you.
In return I can help you with your English. In my job I am an English teacher and I am also a writer so my level and understanding of English is above average. I can help you whether you want to just be able to speak conversationally or whether you wish to acquire a more sophisticated and refined English.
I have a relaxed approach to learning and try to make the sessions enjoyable and fun too.
I use Zoom for language exchanges though I'm happy to use an alternative if you prefer.
My interests are politics, literature, cinema, walking, swimming, watching football, chatting with friends in cafes and learning languages.

I've studied a number of languages, with some of them attending lessons in the country and attaining level B1, but then I stop using them and I get very rusty.
I can speak English well too, as I've been in England for over 20 years.
Hola, no sé porque escribí lo anterior en inglés. Tal vez por costumbre. Llevo tantos años en Inglaterra y he intentado aprender tantos idiomas, que mi ortografía española es desastrosa. Así que le tengo que poner remedio y hacer algún curso de ortografía. Aparte de eso, mi idioma nativo es el castellano.
Con tantos idiomas, me vuelvo loco. Ahora me voy a concentrar en italiano, francés, portugués y japonés. Llegué al nivel B1 en alemán, pero creo que lo voy a dejar por ahora, para concentrarme en los otros. Así que me gustaría conocer gente para practicar esos idiomas en persona o por teleconferencia. Además de esos, debería aprender tailandés, pero mi mujer es de Tailandia, por tanto, ya tengo con quien practicar.
También estudié algo de ruso, pero no creo que pueda abarcarlo todo.

Hi! I am a Youth Worker in Liverpool who loves to travel and learn new skills. I lived in Spain for one year but I am still only at an A2 level and really want to improve my speaking.
