I was studying Japanese for about 4 years at a language school. Now I'm in second year at uni majoring in Japanese studies. Lately is my biggest passion visual kei - whether it's the clothing, makeup or music. But I really love Harajuku fashion in general and I like anime and Pokemon too. I'm an American living and working in Bratislava. I like crafts (sewing, crochet, cross-stitch), history, books, vegetable gardening and travel.
I teach at an elementary school and I love my work! I'm a licensed teacher of English with a M.Ed. in TESOL. I can help you understand and practice grammar, help you improve your pronunciation, or just chat and have general conversations.
I recently learned that I qualify for a Slovak passport, if I can pass a Slovak language test!!!!! I'm very motivated. I had to cancel my Polish study and make a change.
I know almost zero Slovak. First I want to be sure I can pronounce everything correctly, and then I will expand my vocabulary and learn the grammar.
I've learned other languages before and I don't find it very difficult. I believe that I am capable of learning, so I'm looking for a language exchange partner who also believes that it is possible for Americans to learn Slovak!
