Hi, I’m looking for a language learning partner. I would like to improve my English, and in return, I can teach you Chinese. My English reading is okay, but I struggle with using it in conversation. So, speaking practice will likely be a long journey for me. I love Chinese language and literature — in fact, I’ve been continuously deepening my understanding of Chinese characters and grammar through study. I believe that teaching Chinese could also help me gain deeper insights into my native language. My main interests are sociology and literature. Below are some books I’ve read repeatedly and really enjoy: Stone Age Economics Metaphors We Live By Long Day's Journey Into Night The Iceman Cometh Peasant Life in China The Archaeology of Ancient China The Collected Short Stories of Chekhov Witchcraft, Oracles, and Magic Among the Azande I haven’t read any of these in English, but I’m currently reading Pessoa’s poetry collection and Chekhov’s short stories in English. A little about me: I’m 25 years old and work as a shop assistant. Aside from reading, my free time may be somewhat limited, but it’s quite regular and consistent.
