RussischHello! My name is Matthew and I live in the South. I am a Christian and love my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I was baptized the summer of 2016. Also, I have a real passion for the outdoors and nature. Hunting, fishing, and hiking are some of my favorite activities. I work construction and love home design. I want to talk about whatever brings you joy in life or answer whatever questions you have about American life or history.
I want to learn Russian and continue to work on my Spanish. I plan on visiting South America soon but haven't decided yet where to go!

What do we mean by “death to the world?”
“The world” is the general name for all the passions.
When we wish to call them “passions” by a common name,
we call them the “world.”
But when we wish to distinguish them by their special names we call them “passions.”
The passions are the following:
Desire for possessions;
Bodily pleasure from which comes sexual passion;
Love of honor which gives rise to envy;
Lust for power, arrogance, and pride of position;
The craving to adorn oneself with luxurious clothes and vain ornaments;
The itch for human glory which is the source of rancor and resentment;
Physical fear.
For where these passions cease to be active, there the world is dead.

Hi :) I am Heather! I live in the southeast in the USA. I am almost 34 and am happily married going on 8 years this may. i love music and reading and singing,and crafting such as crochet and making dream catchers and jewelry. i enjoy exploring outdoors also as well as photography. big Harry Potter fan--shout out to my fellow gryffindors!! i enjoy learning about history and cultures. archaeology as well ofc :)
