Hi. I'm Sam and I like to be very crafty. I do play guitar and I like to watch Youtube videos. I'm into Japanese culture since I was a kid and hoping that I would be able to study in Japan and to do my internship in one of Japan's competitive tech companies. I am looking for language exchange buddy. I can speak English. I'd be very grateful if you would like to study with me and teach me Japanese language. Btw, I am currently taking a BS in Computer Applications.
Hello!!! I am so looking forward to make friends and hopefully learn new languages at the same time! Currently, I am self-studying Japanese so I would really appreciate a Japanese friend to practice it with >-< .... I can teach English, Tagalog and Bisaya!!!
It originally started because I liked learning different languages but wasn't sure which one I should learn. I had tried a few different languages in school and also Japanese/Swedish on my own. Nothing really stuck or motivated me. Then I stumbled upon Korean (since I like KPOP and kdramas a lot) and learned it was easy to read so I tried to learn that. I love how Korean sounds and learning to read a different script was fun.
Obviously learning a language for fun isn't enough motivation for me considering my slow progress. I have a decently large passive knowledge in Korean and I may even be 'low intermediate' in reading alone especially if it is a familiar topic or if I have access to a dictionary. But my lack of opportunities Korean in everyday hindered my progress or motivation to study for sure, especially when I have other things going on.
My motivation for learning right now is I'm planning to go to Korea hopefully early next year, so I'm trying hard to practice my listening and speaking in preparation.
I'm also interested in learning Vietnamese. bc thier music is bop
